ELECTROCOCHLEOGRAPHY
Electrocochleography (ECochG) is an auditory nerve response which can be recorded through electrodes placed close to the eardrum. This test measures responses generated by the inner ear when a sound is presented. The procedure is painless and the client stays still and quiet, with no need to respond.
ECochG can help in the diagnosis of Meniere’s Disease, Auditory Neuropathy and site-of-lesion investigations in other hearing pathologies.
